Willow Whispers to the Wind
The Willow Whispers to the Wind

The willow whispers to the wind,
Of promises, of hopes grown thin.
I lay along a quiet shore,
Listening and nothing more.
The wind whispers to the willow,
Of desires, of flames that billow.
I sit upon the highest hill,
Hearing and nothing still.
She whispers to me with devotion,
Of love, of hidden emotion.
Her face beams with delight,
Then moments later, shows fright.
I whisper to her in the dark abyss,
Of strength, of ignorance is bliss.
My eyes gleam in pain and feeling,
My heart only left reeling.
An odd emotion is her love.
Alone, I am her favorite one.
